Soil

All gardens begins with the soil, even a balcony garden on the 14th floor! Up there you use garden soil or potting compost from sacks to form the basis of cultivation. Potting compost and garden soil are also used in ordinary gardens as soil supplements and improvers especially when you’re starting a new garden. Wherever your patch is, however, caring for your soil and working with it is a fundamental of all gardening.
